Getting the most from RE:NEW and ECO

Future of London/EDF Energy: Delivering Energy Efficiency Series – Part 3

Breakfast Seminar: Friday, 8th November 2013, 08:30 – 10:30 AM

The third event in our Delivering Energy Efficiently series, supported by EDF Energy, takes stock of two time-limited programmes: one, the first phase of the Greater London Authority’s RE:NEW Support Team, set up to help boroughs and housing associations navigate large-scale energy retrofit programmes and, two, the Energy Company Obligation, set to expire in 2015, at least in its current incarnation.

What have the RE:NEW team found in their scoping and project work to date? Are there transferable lessons and mechanisms? How can housing providers maximise ECO funding to reach their target populations and numbers? And how can the households whose homes are beyond the ‘low-hanging fruit’ be helped?

This breakfast seminar will be useful for practitioners in energy, climate change and fuel poverty/ benefit areas, as well as asset management and finance. The discussion will move from common challenges to look at procurement, funding, data and delivery options, and should involve a lively discussion.

Speakers include:

  • Becca Aspinwall, Pinsent Masons
  • Gearoid Lane, AgilityEco
  • Sheri Lim, LB Havering
  • Richard McWilliams, GLA RE:NEW Support Team/Capita
  • Susanna Salts, EDF Energy (chair)
  • Nigel Turner, London WarmZones/EDF Energy

The Delivering Energy Efficiency series is kindly hosted by Pinsent Masons. This session will take place at their offices at 30 Crown Place, Earl Street, London EC2A 4ES, a short walk from Liverpool Street Station.

The session is free to attend, but registration is required. To register your interest, please email events@futureoflondon.org.uk. If you have secured a spot, you will receive a confirmation email.
